During the first season, he is oblivious to her affection leading to her attempted suicide. After she is released from the clinic they have several ups and downs, but when Sid finally realizes he loves her, they get together.In the second series, she is however in Scotland in another clinic and Sid is missing her terribly. He misunderstands video record he witnesses and is convinced she is cheating on him. His father dies to top it all, and Sid is so disoriented that he hooks up with Michelle. Cassie comes back and is furious at this twist. She gives Sid silent treatment and starts hooking up with random people to make him bitter and jealous. He finally loses it, breaks up with Michelle and goes to Cassie, confessing he still loves her and Michelle was a terrible mistake. They are now together again and everything is great, but when their friend Chris dies on Cassies arms, she snaps and moves to New York, upon which Sid goes after her to find her and convince her to come back.
