The biter is facing charges in the attack. Troy Kelsay/Iowa City Police Dept.: "Totally inappropriate, totally uncalled for and probably actionable legally."Matthew Osing and Donroy Merrival will be dealing with that trouble for some time....especially Osing -- who lost his nose when the two started fighting.SOT: Matthew Osing, Lost Nose in Fight: "He was crouched down ready to pounce me and he was caring me. I said if you don't get out of my house I'm going to whack you with this army shovel." And he did whack Merrival with a shovel, but Osing says that didn't stop him.SOT: Osing: "He jumped up and grabbed my face and grabbed my nose and bit it off." Osing says he was just trying to defend his home from a drunken man.SOT: Osing: "He's a heavy drinker and sometimes when he drinks he changes and gets real nasty."Merrival faces charges for the biting attack.
