| Batman (1989 film) Joker Movie Scene - He Stole My Balloons (High Quality)Sun, 04 Jan 2009 21:28:24 -0800 by ElizarSEntertainmentBatman is a 1989 superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Tim Burton directed the film, which stars Michael Keaton as Batman, with Jack Nicholson, Kim Basinger and Robert Wuhl. The film, in which Batman deals with the rise of a powerful villain known as "the Joker", is the first installment of Warner Bros.' Batman film series. With Burton's hiring as director, Steve Englehart and Julie Hickson wrote film treatments before Sam Hamm wrote the first screenplay. Batman was not greenlighted until the success of Burton's Beetlejuice (1988). The role of Batman was considered for numerous A-list actors, while Nicholson accepted the role of the Joker under strict conditions that dictated a high salary, a portion of the box office profits and his shooting schedule.Filming took place at Pinewood Studios from October 1988 to January 1989. The budget escalated from $30 million to $48 million, while the 1988 Writers Guild of America strike forced Hamm to drop out. Uncredited rewrites were performed by Warren Skaaren, Charles McKeown and Jonathan Gems. Batman was a critical and financial success, earning over $400 million in box office totals. The film received numerous nominations at the 62nd Academy Awards, 47th Golden Globe Awards and Saturn Awards. It has also inspired Batman: The Animated Series, a series of films for Warner Bros. and the modern perception of the superhero film genre. As a child, Bruce Wayne saw his parents killed by a young criminal. He grows up, avenging their death against the criminals in Gotham City. He takes a disguise as Batman, while keeping his public image as a billionaire heir to Wayne Enterprises. Years later, Gotham is under control by crime boss Carl Grissom. Despite the best efforts of newly-elected district attorney Harvey Dent and police commissioner James Gordon, the police department remains corrupted. Reporter Alexander Knox and photo-journalist Vicki Vale begin investigating the rumors of a shadowy vigilante figure dressed as a bat, who has been terrifying criminals throughout the city.Vale and Knox attend a benefit at the mansion of billionaire Bruce Wayne, who is taken by Vicki's charms. Knox, however, appears somewhat jealous of the chemistry between Bruce and Vicki. That same night, Grissom's second in command, Jack Napier, is sent to raid Axis Chemicals factory. After the police receive a tip-off and arrive to arrest him, Napier realizes he's been set-up by his boss, angered by his affair with Grissom's mistress. In the midst of the shoot-out, Batman arrives and takes out Napier's henchmen and attempts to capture Napier himself. In a bizarre accident caused by his own ricocheting bullet, deflected by Batman's metal-reinforced gauntlet, Napier's face is ripped open. Reeling from the pain, he topples over a platform rail but manages to grab a lower rail with one hand. Batman momentarily clutches Napier's free hand, but the grip is soon broken, and he falls into a large vat containing an unknown chemical solution. Shortly thereafter, he emerges from an adjacent reservoir, his hair and skin permanently discolored. Following a botched surgical attempt to repair his face, Napier is left with a permanent rictus, which will become his most distinguishing feature. He becomes "the Joker".After killing Grissom, the Joker takes over his empire and holds the city at his mercy by chemically altering everyday hygiene products so that those using a certain combination of products die. Batman attempts to track down the Joker, who has become romantically interested in Vicki. It is revealed that Napier, as a young criminal, killed Bruce's parents. The Joker holds a parade through Gotham, luring its citizens on to its streets by dispensing money, intending to kill them with a lethal gas. Batman foils his plan, but the Joker kidnaps Vicki and takes her to the top of a cathedral. After a fight with Batman, the Joker falls to his death from the bell tower. At the film's end, Commissioner Gordon unveils the Bat-Signal along with a note from Batman read by Harvey Dent, promising to defend Gotham whenever crime strikes again. | Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood - Jason Voorhees Horrific Killing Movie ScenesSat, 20 Dec 2008 01:00:45 -0800 by ElizarSEntertainmentFriday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood is the sixth sequel to the original Friday the 13th, and also marked the first appearance of Kane Hodder in the role of Jason Voorhees.Plot:The film underwent extensive editing in order to avoid an X rating for overly violent content, but some of the omitted footage was included as a supplemental feature in a box set of the series.Seven year-old Tina Shepard witnessed her alcoholic father physically abusing her mother. The emotional trauma unlocks Tina's previously latent telekinetic powers, which result in her father's death at the bottom of Crystal Lake.About nine years later, Tina is still struggling with the guilt surrounding the death of her father. Tina's mother, Amanda Shepard (Susan Blu), takes her to the same lakeside residence so that her powers can be studied (and unknowingly exploited) by her psychiatrist, Dr. Crews (Terry Kiser). Dr. Crews begins a series of experiments (verbal assaults) designed to agitate Tina's mental state, forcing her powers to become more pronounced. After a particularly upsetting session with Dr. Crews, Tina runs from the cabin and runs to the dock thinking about her fathers death. While thinking about him, she accidentally breaks the chain around the neck of Jason Voorhees (Kane Hodder), the notorious Crystal Lake serial killer. Tina's torment from her powers is increased as Jason kills everyone around her. Mrs. Shepard, Dr. Crews, and a group of youths vacationing in a nearby cabin, are all killed violently by Jason. Tina is left with no choice but to utilize her powers in an effort to stop him. She unleashes her powers and forces Jason's mask to tighten and squeeze blood out of his head. Eventually, the mask breaks in two, revealing Jason's hideous face. She then unleashes her psychic abilities wherein the Shepard lakeside cabin is destroyed by an explosive fire. Although she is unable to kill Jason, she unknowingly resurrects her father, who emerges from the lake and drags Jason back down into the depths with him. Jason is now under a piece of broken board from the bridge in the beginning of the next film, Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan.Cast:Kane Hodder ... Jason Voorhees Lar Park-Lincoln ... | Diablo II - Official Cinematic Trailer 2 (High Quality)Tue, 09 Dec 2008 13:06:27 -0800 by ElizarSEntertainmentDiablo II, sequel to the game Diablo, is a dark fantasy-themed action role-playing game in a hack and slash and "dungeon roaming" style. It was released for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS in 2000 by Blizzard Entertainment, and was developed by Blizzard North.Diablo II was one of the most popular games in 2000. Major factors that contributed to Diablo II's success include what fans found to be addictive hack and slash gameplay and free access to Battle.net. Diablo II may be played as a single player game, multi-player via a LAN, or multi-player via Battle.net.The game was conceptualized and designed by Stieg Hedlund, with Blizzard North founders David Brevik, Max and Erich Shaefer acting as Project Leads for the other disciplines (Engineering, Character Art and Environment Art, respectively). The main production roles were handled by Matthew Householder and Bill Roper. An expansion to Diablo II, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, was released in 2001, and is now at version 1.12a. A sequel, Diablo III, was announced on June 28, 2008.Gameplay:The player assumes the role of a hero, fighting monsters while traversing over land and through dungeons. The storyline of Diablo II is played through four acts. Each act follows a predetermined path with preselected quests, although some quests are optional. Players fight monsters to level their character up and gain better items. Battle is conducted in real-time from an isometric viewpoint. Each act culminates with the destruction of a boss monster, upon which the player proceeds to the next act. Diablo II randomly generates many monster properties, level lay-outs and item drops. Most of the maps themselves are randomly generated. In single player mode, the map is randomly generated but locks the setting thereafter; in multiplayer mode, it resets every time the game is restarted. In addition to the four acts there are three difficulty levels: Normal, Nightmare, and Hell. A character must complete these difficulty levels in order; only once a character completes Normal difficulty can that character play at Nightmare difficulty, and similarly for Hell difficulty. Each difficulty is a greater challenge than the last, with such features as increased creature strength, experience penalties upon death, and other challenges. A character retains all abilities, equipment, etc, between difficulties and may return to earlier difficulties at any time. Upon completion of the game in Normal difficulty, a player may create a hardcore character. While with normal softcore characters the player can resurrect their character if killed and resume playing. A hardcore character only has one life and if killed, will be permanently dead and unplayable, losing everything.Diablo II also has a number of other features that enhance gameplay. The player has the option of hiring one of several computer-controlled mercenaries, or hirelings, that follow the player and attack nearby enemies. On occasion, the player might find a rare, valuable item, or one that is part of a set that becomes more powerful when the entire set is collected. Items can be customized using sockets and gems, or transmuted into different items using the Horadric Cube. Related: diablo ii official cinematic trailer (high quality) | |

| Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth - Pinhead entered the Church to deliver Horrific Pain (High Quality)Tue, 09 Dec 2008 11:19:24 -0800 by ElizarSEntertainmentHellraiser III: Hell on Earth is a film released September 11, 1992, directed by Anthony Hickox. It is the third film in the Hellraiser series and the first to be made outside of the United Kingdom. After the confrontation in Hellraiser II, the Cenobite named Pinhead is trapped, along with the puzzle box, amongst the writhing figures and distorted faces etched into the surface of an intricately carved pillar - The Pillar of Souls. The pillar is bought by the rich and spoiled J.P. Monroe (Kevin Bernhardt), owner of a popular nightclub called The Boiler Room. An ambitious young television reporter, Joey Summerskill (Terry Farrell), slowly begins to learn about Pinhead and the mysterious puzzle box. She is introduced to the pain the box can bring when she views a teenage club-goer being ripped apart by the box's chains in a hospital emergency room. She tracks the box and a young woman named Terri (Paula Marshall) to The Boiler Room, from which Terri and her boyfriend had stolen the puzzle box.Through video tape interviews with Kirsty Cotton recovered from the Channard Institute, Joey and Terri learn about the demonic Cenobites and the power of the Lament Configuration, the only means of sending Pinhead back to Hell. Pinhead remains dormant until one night several hooked chains shoot out of the pillar and rip into one of the club members Monroe had recently slept with. After killing her she is absorbed and her face appears on the pillar. Pinhead convinces Monroe to bring him club members so he can feed on their blood and be freed from the pillar. Now more dangerous than ever before, since he has been separated from his human self - a World War I British Army officer named Elliot Spenser - and is simply the manifestation of Elliot's dark side, no longer under the control of Hell and purely out to cause chaos and destruction. After slaughtering everyone in the Boiler room Pinhead creates several new cenobites such as CD cenobite, Terry cenobite, Camera-head, Barbie cenobite, and JP cenobite(Pistonhead) . Pinhead seeks to destroy the puzzle box so he need never return to Hell again. As time runs short, Joey must think of a plan to bring Pinhead and his newly-created Cenobites back to the realm of Pinhead's human self (who sacrifices himself to reunite with Pinhead and save the world), or else doom both herself and the mortal world to an eternity of pain and suffering. Related: diablo ii official cinematic trailer (1998) (high quality) | |

| Batman and Robin (1997 film) - Mr. Freeze Movie Scenes (High Quality)Thu, 04 Dec 2008 00:24:58 -0800 by ElizarSEntertainmentBatman & Robin is a 1997 superhero film directed by Joel Schumacher. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film is a sequel to Batman Forever (1995), with George Clooney replacing Val Kilmer as Batman. Batman & Robin also stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Uma Thurman, Chris O'Donnell and Alicia Silverstone. The film tells the story of Batman and Dick Grayson struggling to keep their relationship together. At the same time, they have to stop Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy from literally freezing Gotham City.Development for Batman & Robin started immediately after Batman Forever, and Warner Bros. commissioned the film on fast track for an adamant June 1997 release. Principal photography began in September 1996 and finished in January 1997, two weeks ahead of the shooting schedule. Batman & Robin was released on June 20, 1997, and was met with critically-panned reviews. Batman & Robin was a modest financial success, but observers criticized the film for its toyetic and campy approach, and for supposed homosexual innuendos added by Schumacher. Batman & Robin received numerous nominations at the Razzie Awards and is highly considered to be one of the worst superhero films of all time. The negative response for Batman & Robin led to the unproduced Batman Triumphant, but the Batman film series was eventually rebooted with Batman Begins (2005).PlotThe film begins with Batman and Robin stopping Mr. Freeze from a robbery attempt, but he escapes. In South America, Pamela Isley is working under Dr. Jason Woodrue, experimenting with the Venom drug. She witnesses Woodrue use the formula to turn a diminutive convict into a hulking monstrosity dubbed "Bane". Woodrue and Isley argue over the use of the drug and Woodrue kills her by overturning a shelf of various toxins onto her and she sinks into the ground. She transforms into the beautiful and seductive Poison Ivy before killing Woodrue-with a poison kiss. She finds that Wayne Enterprises funded Woodrue, thus she takes Bane with her to Gotham City. Meanwhile, Alfred Pennyworth's niece, Barbara Wilson, makes a surprise visit and is invited by Bruce Wayne to stay at Wayne Manor until she goes back to school.Wayne Enterprises presents a new telescope at a press conference interrupted by Isley. She proposes a project that could help the environment, but Bruce declines her offer, as it would kill millions of people. That night, a charity event is held by Wayne Enterprises with special guests, Batman and Robin, and she decides to use her abilities to seduce them. Freeze crashes the party and steals a diamond from the event. However, he is captured and sent to a chamber prison in Arkham Asylum, but escapes with the help of Ivy and Bane. Batman and Robin begin to have crime fighting relationship problems because of the presence of Ivy's seductive ability with Robin. Ivy is then able to contact Robin once more, but fails to seduce him. Robin becomes trapped, but rescued by Batman. Batgirl shows up and traps Ivy within her own plants, while Freeze and Bane flee. Batgirl reveals that she is Barbara and knows the location of the Batcave.Batman, Robin and Batgirl decide to go after Freeze together. By the time they get to the lab where Freeze and Bane are, Gotham is completely frozen. Robin and Batgirl confront Bane and defeat him by disconnecting his venom hose, while Batman and Freeze begin to fight each other, with Batman winning in a cliffhanger battle; Freeze tries to kill Batman by destroying the telescope platform but only succeeds in crushing Bane. Batgirl and Robin unfreeze Gotham and Batman shows Freeze a recording of Ivy during her fight with Batgirl. Freeze learns that Ivy has betrayed him over the death of his wife. Ivy blamed Batman for Nora's death, but she informs Batgirl that it was her idea. Freeze is angered by the betrayal and is informed by Batman that his wife is not dead; she is restored in cryogenic slumber and has been moved to Arkham waiting for him to finish his research. Batman proceeds to ask Freeze for the cure Freeze has created for the first stage of MacGregor's Syndrome, the disease that Freeze's wife is suffering from, for a friend (Alfred) who is dying. Freeze atones for his misunderstanding by giving him medicine he had developed. Nearly insane Ivy is shown imprisoned in the cold beam in Arkham and Freeze walks in and announces he will make her life a living hell of winter. Alfred is eventually healed and everyone agrees to let Barbara stay at the mansion. The film ends with the image of a Bat-Signal, with Batman, Robin and Batgirl running as if appearing from the signal itself towards the camera. Filming started at Burbank, California in June 1991. Batman Returns was released with financial and critical success, but caused parental backlash controversy.PlotA deformed baby boy is thrown into Gotham City's river by his horrified parents. Batman foils his scheme and Catwoman, after killing Shreck, is presumed dead. Instead of playing as the Point Man, the game's protagonist is Michael Becket, a Delta Force operator whose squad is sent in to arrest Genevieve Aristide approximately thirty minutes before the ending of F.E.A.R. At some point in the game, the player character, via surgery, will receive reflex powers exhibiting the same slow-motion ability like the Point Man.Development:The follow-up will stay in the game's existing universe, retaining the original storyline and characters, although it won't recognize Extraction Point or Perseus Mandate. Monolith Productions will require a new publisher for the game, since they were purchased by Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment in 2004 while development of F.E.A.R. was under way, after which Vivendi Universal was dropped as publisher. Monolith has revealed it will be released early next year. The game was shown for the first time at the 2007 E3 Expo with an Xbox 360 demo. The demo footage showcased the game's enhanced Jupiter EX engine, and reveals glimpses of the plot, starting with a cutscene of Michael undergoing surgery overseen by Genevieve, with unexplained complications, later revealed to be linked with Alma.In an interview with John Mulkey, the lead designer for F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, he describes the game as being "a more open environment" further noting that "a destroyed city opens up an incredible amount of opportunities." Also, Mulkey mentions that the enemies will be much more varied than in the previous game.Name Your Fear:Monolith Productions announced a contest called "Name Your Fear" on June 4, 2007 to find a new name for the sequel Contestants had until June 22nd to submit a name, after which three finalists would be chosen with fans being able to choose their favorite. The three finalists will have their likeness featured in the upcoming game. A special website was created for this contest. On August 3, 2007, voting was opened to the public for the three naming finalists, which were Dead Echo, Project Origin and Dark Signal. Voting closed on August 10, 2007. On September 6, 2007 the winner was announced as Project Origin. On the games official website the reasons for Project Origin being chosen were explained;Project Origin is a strong fan and developer favorite. We received over 400 submissions containing Origin in the name. The second submission of the contest was Project Origin, so we have had the name rattling around in our heads right from the beginning Project Origin is a natural fit for the title of the sequel because it is the Armacham program from which all of the trouble in the game world originates. The architect of Project Origin, Harlan Wade, used his daughter in a horrific experiment which turned her into the monster that we see in the first game. ... In the sequel, the repercussions of Project Origin are only beginning to unravel.Later announced on September 8, 2008, Monolith Productions Inc. and WB Games Inc. revealed that they have purchased the F.E.A.R. name from Activision/Blizzard. The moniker Project Origin remains, though used as a subtitle. Related: f.e.a.r. 2: project origin behind the scenes: engine | |

| Batman Vengeance - All Cinematic Sequences (Complete)Tue, 02 Dec 2008 00:17:25 -0800 by ElizarSEntertainmentBatman Vengeance is a video game that was released over a period of time on all major platforms of the sixth generation of console games. It was developed and published by Ubisoft in conjunction with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics. It is based on DC Comics' character Batman and the television series The New Batman Adventures.Designs and voice castVengeance took environmental and character designs from The New Batman Adventures, and starred most of the main voice cast from the series and it's predecessor Batman: The Animated Series. The cast includes Kevin Conroy returning as Batman, Mark Hamill as the Joker, Tara Strong as Batgirl, Diane Pershing as Poison Ivy, Michael Ansara as Mr. Freeze, Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. as Alfred Pennyworth, Arleen Sorkin as Harley Quinn, Lloyd Bochner as Mayor Hamilton Hill and Robert Hastings as Commissioner James Gordon.PlotIn Batman Vengeance, crime escalates in Gotham City as Batman finds himself the target of a conspiracy. After the Joker plummets to his apparent death in an attempt to kill Batman, Gotham's criminals quickly escalate their schemes to gain power. Batman discovers subtle links in these seemingly unrelated crimes, but is forced undercover after being framed for an attack on Commissioner Gordon. Hunted by the police, the Batman must discover who is behind these mysteries before Gotham City is destroyed. In the end Batman discovers that it was the Joker who was causing all the destruction after all. He is the final boss of the game. After Batman defeats the Joker while falling down the streets of Gotham, he saves the city, and finally defeats his arch enemy, the Joker. Gotham City is now safe, and yours to protect.Presented in a more stylized golden age comic book appearance that communicates attitude and personality through spartan artwork, Batman engages in a variety of different gameplay modes (e.g. traditional third-person platforming and vehicle-based gameplay) in his pursuit to rid Gotham City of its most notorious criminals.ReceptionB atman Vengeance received near universal praise by critics alike, praising it for its complex story and graphics, which looked almost exactly like the animated series. Much praise also went towards the music and the voice acting, especially Mark Hamill who played the Joker, saying that his voice work stood out in the game than most of any other character. The gameplay was also well received, but there was much criticism for the first person view, and there were also complaints about the player's abilities being limited. While the console versions of the game were praised, the PC version drew a lot of negative reviews due to the odd controls, tinted graphics and camera. Negative feedback came from the fact that all of the problems found in the console versions were worse and more apparent in the PC version of the game.
