Part of my Obscure First Person Shooters series: www.youtube.com Gameplay footage from Mission 1 of Codename: Outbreak. Actual gameplay begins at 4:10. Before they conquered the world and our hearts with STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, Ukrainian developers GSC Game World conquered a smaller, more obscure planet and some less vital human organs with this highly under appreciated gem. Note: Although the game is quite ballin’, there are some severe stability issues with modern systems. I could only play for a few minutes at a time before it completely locked up. Hence, the blatant cut you see at 8:03 is the result of me reloading a quicksave after a crash. Note 2: I had to cut out 14 seconds at 10:26 in order to meet YouTube’s time limit. I never managed to find the sniper shooting me, so nothing of value is missing.

Thats strange i have a bought outbreak disc and evryone sounds well british which is strange eaven the game lags but i have a new computer since 2009 and this game still lags and bugs if anyone can help please reply me…

Do you have 3 GB or more RAM in that system,
and,
perhaps have you played “STALKER – shadow of chernnobyl” and i behaves the same?
Then the solution for that game might help here also.
There’s some windows registry setting that has to be changed or the game will have memory problems after a while, on 3+ GB systems

@mentalboy9 Those guys who made that game have left the company, actually. Some of them are working at Deep Shadows, others – at 4A Games.
The graphics kinda remind me of Deus Ex.
This game is just great, i played it for about 1 year in mp and i rly loved it..
Sorry that GSC didnt choosed to make a CO2 but they moved to other projects (which i didnt liked so much)
I am actually rebuilding CO maps with Crysis engine and it is so.. cool !
Sucks that im not so expert to make a full mod otherwise i will Clone that game :p
This game was made by the same developers who made STALKER – and this game really feels like an Alpha for those games! The fear in tunnels, the aliens in a ‘Zone’, the clever AI…. All marks of a great series of games to follow!

What screen recorder do you use?
I’m not sure if this is the case but have you tried installing Outbreak without Indeo? In the past I had same problem with access violation (on Windows Xp, Radeon 9600) but now I choose not to install it (on Windows 7, Radeon HD2600) and game runs without problems (but intro and outro movie is not working now).
